WHAT IS PLATINUM SPARK PLUG

A platinum plug is similar to a copper plug, except that its centre electrode has a platinum disc that is soldered to the tip area. Hence, the platinum plug is more durable than copper and can last up to 16,000 km.

Platinum spark plugs generate more heat which helps in reducing the build-up of debris. If you have a new car with an electronic distributor ignition system, platinum plugs are recommended.
